Teloa
Billing & Plan Change Policy

Last revised on July, 2026

This policy explains how subscriptions, plan changes, pausing , and billing work on Teloa. Our goal is to keep billing fair, predictable, and transparent, while aligning with how a managed design and build platform actually operates.

  1. Core Principles

These rules apply to all Teloa plans:

    • Only one plan can be active at a time
    • Every plan includes the same active request capacity: 2 at a time
    • Changing plans replaces your current plan with a new one
    • Your work, files, and requests are never lost when you change or pause a plan

Plan changes and pausing are only available when you have no active requests

  2. Plans & Billing terms

Teloa offers three subscription plans: Marketing, Product, and Full-Stack, and quote per project for Custom Development & Projects.

    • Plans are billed monthly or quarterly
    • Quarterly billing includes a 10% discount
    • Billing renews automatically unless canceled or paused
    • Custom Development & Projects work is not a subscription; it is quoted per project (see Section 7)
  3. What an “Active Request” Means

An active request is a design or build task currently being worked on.

    • Every plan supports up to 2 active requests at a time
    • You can submit unlimited requests; the rest wait in your queue
    • Queued requests do not count toward your active limit
    • When a slot opens, you are notified so you can set the timeline for your next request
  4. Changing Plans

You can switch between Marketing, Product, and Full-Stack in either direction, whenever you have no active requests. Both directions offer the same two options.

    • Option A: Immediate change (default)
      • Your plan switches immediately
      • The unused time on your current plan is calculated as a prorated credit
      • A new bill is generated today, with the credit applied. On a change to a more expensive plan you pay only the difference. On a change to a cheaper plan the credit usually exceeds the new price, and the leftover balance discounts your future bills
      • Your billing date resets to the day of the change
    • Option B: Scheduled change
      • Your plan switches on your next bill date
      • No charge today; the new price bills on your regular date
      • Your billing date does not change
      • Scheduled downgrades let you finish out the period you already paid for
    • Capacity after a change
      • Active request capacity stays at 2 on every plan
      • The available scope of work updates to match the new plan immediately
      • Full-Stack unifies marketing and product work into a single stream
  5. Pausing Your Plan

You can pause your subscription whenever you have no active requests, and resume whenever you are ready.

    • You are not billed while paused; renewals that fall inside a pause charge nothing
    • Your billing date never shifts; the billing cycle keeps its original dates
    • The unused time on your plan converts to an account credit
    • If you resume within the same cycle, the credit is applied to your next renewal invoice
    • If you resume in a later cycle, the credit first covers the remaining days of the cycle you resume into, and any leftover discounts your next invoice

Example (resuming within the same cycle): You pay $30 on Jan 1, pause on Jan 10, and resume on Jan 20. Your cycle still ends Jan 31, and the 10 paused days become a $10 credit. Your Feb 1 bill is $30 minus $10, so you pay $20.

Example (resuming in a later cycle): You pay $30 on Jan 1 and pause on Jan 10, leaving $21 of unused time. Feb 1 charges $0 because you are paused. You resume on Feb 15; the $13 for the rest of February is covered by your credit, leaving $8. Your Mar 1 bill is $30 minus $8, so you pay $22. Your billing day stays the 1st throughout.

    Pause limits

To keep capacity planning fair for all customers, pausing follows these limits:

    • Monthly plans can be paused once per billing cycle; quarterly plans twice per cycle
    • A pause runs for a minimum of 7 days
    • A plan can stay paused for up to 30 consecutive days on monthly billing, or 60 on quarterly. When the limit is reached, the plan resumes automatically
    • After resuming, a plan must stay active for at least 14 days before it can be paused again
  6. Requests Near the End of a Billing Cycle

Some requests need more time than remains in your current billing cycle. To ensure uninterrupted delivery and fair usage:

    • 6.1 Renewal is a commitment to the next cycle

Renewing does not reset, extend, or modify your current cycle. Your current period runs to completion, the next begins when it ends, and there is no overlap or double-counting of time.

    • 6.2 When there isn't enough time left

If the timeline for a new request extends past the time remaining on your plan, the request will not move to the in-progress state. Teloa Admin will inform you that there isn't enough time left in the current cycle, and you will be asked to commit to the next cycle.

Example message: “This request's timeline runs about a week, but your plan ends in 3 days. Renew your plan to continue without interruption.”

    • 6.3 Renewing to continue work

If you choose to renew early, payment for the next cycle is processed immediately, your current cycle stays unchanged, and request creation unlocks right away. Work then continues across the billing boundary: with 3 days left in the cycle and a 7-day timeline, 3 days of work happen in the current cycle and 4 in the next. No reset, no double-dipping, no lost days.

  7. Custom Development & Projects

Custom work is billed outside the subscription:

    • Tell us what you need designed or built, and we scope it and send a fixed quote before any work starts
    • Payment is made once you approve the quote and timeline
    • Custom projects follow their agreed timeline and do not renew
  8. Cancellations
    • You may cancel your subscription at any time
    • Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing cycle, and your plan stays active until then
    • No refunds are issued for unused time on monthly or quarterly plans; if the plan is paused, unused time follows the credit rules set in Section 5
    • You keep access to completed work through the end of your billing period
  9. Fair Usage & Abuse Prevention

To ensure consistent quality for all customers:

    • Capacity does not accumulate across plans or plan changes
    • Early plan changes do not grant extra permanent capacity
    • Teloa reserves the right to pause or reschedule work if usage exceeds plan limits
